The Heritage Room at Geneva Lodge 2397 was unveiled in April 2025 as a collaborative effort between the lodge, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and Historic Geneva. It features curated displays of photographs, newspaper clippings, family stories, and memorabilia that celebrate the contributions of Italian immigrants to Geneva’s history.

Highlights include:

  • Family exhibits, such as the Gillotte family display, which illustrate generational ties and community impact.

  • Student-led research projects, where HWS students helped organize and interpret historical materials, transforming the room into a cultural museum.

  • Public engagement events, including the grand opening attended by local officials, historians, and neighboring lodge members.

You can explore more photos and updates on the lodge’s Facebook page or through HWS News and the Finger Lakes Times. Let me know if you’d like help creating a flyer or visual aid featuring these images for outreach or documentation.
